Queenstown Winter Festival Fireworks
The Queenstown winter festival is an annual event that takes place in Queenstown to celebrate the arrival of winter and snow.
This year the Queenstown winter festival was held from June 25 to July 4, 2010.
Activities included mountain action, street parties, fireworks, charity boxing, live concerts, comedy, theatre, family fun, and a great mix of international performers and home-grown acts.
For example, up on Coronet Peak you could watch dog races and mountain bikes on snow, or go skiing at night.

The opening party took place at 6:00 p.m. on June 25, 2010, with the fireworks display being held at 7:00 p.m.
In the video below you can enjoy a minute of the Queenstown winter festival fireworks display. I shot this video while looking out the window of my warm Queenstown motel room.
