Wellington City On A Sunny Day From The Brooklyn Wind Turbine
The weather for Wellington had been forecasted to be gorgeous on Waitangi Day 2010 (February 6, 2010), and gorgeous it was indeed!
I woke up very early in the morning – something I almost never do on a Saturday – to run my usual errands, so that I could go out for a walk after midday.
My walk of choice for the day would be to a viewpoint overlooking Wellington City and harbour. You may have heard of it. It’s called the Brooklyn wind turbine.

While there are several walkways and tracks in Wellington, which offer scenic views of Wellington and its surroundings, I’ve done this walk before and had been aiming for a while now to do it again when the weather was good enough to allow for nice photos and videos.
The Brooklyn wind turbine is easily accessible by foot from Wellington’s CBD (Central Business District). I’ve written an article on the walk to the Brooklyn wind turbine, but for now I just wanted to share some pictures I have collected.
For now, enjoy these photos of the scenic view you get of Wellington City and harbour when you walk up to the Brooklyn wind turbine…
